Work is well under way to create a new footbridge at Trinity Lane level crossing, Waltham Cross, to provide a safer way of crossing the railway as part of Network Rail’s Railway Upgrade Plan.

As part of its Railway Upgrade Plan, Network Rail will be carrying out vital enhancement work to a level crossing near Bolton.

Rail passengers are being advised to check before they travel on Thursday 10 November as some continued disruption is expected to Thameslink services with alterations also possible on East Midlands Trains.  

Network Rail has provided hundreds of primary school children with access to railway safety workshops to coincide with a series of level crossing closures and upgrades in East and Central Scotland.

Network Rail is sorry for the disruption to rail passengers as engineers work to fix rail equipment at Luton.

Railway passengers are being advised to check before they travel in the morning (Wednesday 9 November) following issues with the overhead wires at Luton.

Network Rail’s orange army will be on site around-the-clock at Oxford station from next week to ensure that work to create a new rail link between Oxford and London via Marylebone is completed next month.
