Residents and motorists in Newbury will benefit from a new road bridge at Boundary Road which opened today after 12 months of construction, restoring an important route through the town.

Network Rail will increase the length of two Nottinghamshire platforms as part of its Railway Upgrade Plan.

Dovey Junction railway station will temporarily close from Saturday 4 to Wednesday 8 February as essential upgrade work to Afon Llyfnant rail bridge, on the approach to Dovey Junction railway station, is delivered as part of Network Rail’s Railway Upgrade Plan.

Three footpath level crossings in Suffolk and Essex are now safer thanks to a new audible warning system, alerting pedestrians of approaching trains.  The crossings are the first of a total of 23 that will have the new kit installed, making the railway safer and more reliable as part of Network Rail's Railway Upgrade Plan.
