Network Rail and East Midlands Trains are reminding passengers on the Midland Main Line to plan ahead and check before travelling as major work takes place as part of the Midland Main Line Upgrade.

With just five days until major engineering work on the West Coast main line, Network Rail is urging passengers to check before they travel this late May bank holiday.

Network Rail will be carrying out work to remove trees and vegetation between Haymarket and Dalmeny between now and August.

The UK’s biggest ever signalling upgrade is a step closer to completion as Network Rail carried out a significant stage of a six-year project to modernise signalling equipment in the Bristol and Bath area over the weekend (11-12 May). The introduction of the upgraded signalling system will allow more trains to run on the network in the future, helping to meet growing passenger demand.
