Network Rail has revealed a new artwork at Bristol Temple Meads station, which highlights the company’s commitment to protecting wildlife and biodiverse habitats alongside the railway. 

There has been an alarming rise in the number of people putting their lives at risk at Broughty Ferry level crossing.

Weekend engineering work will be taking place on the Essex Thameside line as part of important renewals and maintenance to keep the railway running reliably and safely.

A major new road near Newquay in Cornwall will move one step closer this weekend when Network Rail installs a bridge over the railway. 

Culloden Road in Inverness will close for five weeks to enable Network Rail to make repairs to a railway bridge.

Network Rail has successfully moved two new 160-tonne metallic spans into place onto Barmouth Viaduct, reaching a milestone in the restoration of the iconic structure.

• South Western Railway funded the artwork while Network Rail provided materials and labour in a collaborative project

A CCTV camera at Calcot Mill level crossing West Berkshire recently captured footage of people trespassing on the railway to pose for photographs on the track.
