Passengers and businesses in Bristol are set to benefit from an increase in train and freight services, reduced journey times and a better travelling experience after Network Rail announced today the doubling of the railway lines between the city’s two main stations.

Stunning night time footage at the foot of the Shard shows the installation of a 30m signal gantry on the approach to London Bridge station.

Volunteer collectors will be in Network Rail managed stations in London, Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester over the coming week, helping to raise funds for the Royal British Legion’s (RBL) London and City Poppy Days.
