Temporary footbridge for Ham Street station after level crossing incidents
A temporary footbridge has been built at Ham Street station following an incident with a young person on the footpath crossing. Video footage from the stations also shows that station users including schoolchildren regularly cross the tracks without looking or listening.

The first permanent Big Issue vendor’s pitch inside a railway station will be unveiled by Network Rail and The Big Issue Foundation at Euston station on Friday 19 September. The pitch will support the selected vendor to earn a legitimate income, with the new partnership including activities to help support the charity’s work with the homeless and those at risk of homelessness.

Network Rail has announced a new managing director, network operations to take over from Robin Gisby who has decided to leave next year. Phil Hufton, currently chief operating officer of London Underground, will be joining in early 2015 and will have an orderly handover from Robin.
