Barnardo’s announces partnership with Network Rail
Barnardo’s, the United Kingdom’s leading children’s charity, has been chosen by Network Rail’s employees as their ‘Charity of Choice’ until March 2019.

Further rail upgrades planned for 2017 to deliver a bigger and more reliable railway for passengers in London, Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire
Passengers travelling on the railway between Norwich and London and across to Cambridge are being asked to check before they travel, particularly at weekends as complex improvement works continue over Christmas and into 2017. This work will deliver vital railway upgrades for the Crossrail programme and remove long-standing heat related speed restrictions.

Clean bill of health for swan found on West Yorkshire railway
A Network Rail track worker has been praised after he carried an injured swan which crash landed on the railway line in West Yorkshire for half a mile to receive treatment.

Suffolk residents are invited to an information event to find out more about major improvements to the railway line that runs between Ipswich to Felixstowe which includes building extra track and closing level crossings as part of Network Rail’s Railway Upgrade Plan.

Passengers reminded of 12 day closure as £100m investment in railway at Bromsgrove starts this week
- The latest stage in improvements to the railway in the Bromsgrove area
- Work will allow line between Bromsgrove and Birmingham to be electrified
- Upgraded signalling will help make services to and from the town more reliable
- To allow the work to be completed the line will be closed for 12 days
- Buses will replace trains serving Bromsgrove station
- Trains between Birmingham, Hereford, south Wales and the South West will be subject to an amended timetable
