All railway lines leaving London Euston have been successfully reopened today (Sunday 3 Dec) and trains are now running to and from the station again.

Network Rail hosted its largest ever event at the National Assembly for Wales, celebrating the economic impact of the railway across Wales and Borders.

Lincoln High Street footbridge has reopened after repairs were successfully completed.

Network Rail has unveiled three new grinding trains costing £36m, which we be deployed across Great Britain to keep the track in good condition and provide passengers with a smooth, reliable journey. 

The multi-million pound trains, which remove small layers of metal from the railhead, represent a significant investment for Network Rail route services who worked with industry partners Loram and Colas Rail to design, build and maintain the new, improved models.

Wigan Wallgate station has been preserved for future generations thanks to a £1.014m upgrade to the main building and canopy.

Residents of Oxford have been invited to a drop-in event next week ahead of work which will enable capacity improvements and reliability through the city as part of Network Rail’s Oxford Corridor railway upgrade scheme.

Network Rail will shortly submit a planning application for work at Stirling station, including creating step-free access to all platforms.
