Network Rail has installed 12 new pieces of original art at Leeds station to improve the experience of passengers travelling through it and create a more colourful and vibrant environment.

Mark Carne to retire from Network Rail
Mark Carne, the chief executive of Network Rail, has advised the Board that he has decided to retire from the company later this year. Muirhead Road in Baillieston will be closed for seven months from Monday February 12 to enable a multi-million pound investment to reconstruct the bridge over the railway.

Network Rail is carrying out improvement work to the Cambrian Line, between Newtown and Aberystwyth, as part of its Railway Upgrade Plan. The £7.25m project will see 6km of track renewed over a period of 8 weeks.
