Network Rail is supporting Manchester’s Pride Festival ahead of next weekend (24 – 27 August) by painting a pedestrian crossing outside Manchester Piccadilly station in the pride flag colours.

All services are now able to travel on the track in Fitzwilliam, West Yorkshire after it was struck by a tractor last night.

Network Rail is advising passengers travelling between Leeds and Doncaster, Sheffield and London. to check before they travel this morning following an incident last night where a tractor damaged railway tracks and overhead line equipment at Fitzwilliam, near Wakefield

- Euston shut 18-19 + 25-27 August + 1-2 September

- To allow Network Rail to replace North Wembley junction 

- Train customers advised to travel on other days

Network Rail has secured permission to build a new bridleway bridge across the Felixstowe branch line to provide a safe public route across the railway while enabling for more goods to be moved by rail freight and improving reliability for passenger services. 

Network Rail High Output’s strategic rail fleet spares are moving to a central storage facility to improve asset reliability and operational logistics. This move will save around £1.6m through improved efficiency.

The Cross City line between Birmingham New Street, Longbridge, Redditch and Bromsgrove has fully reopened.
