Network Rail, and main contractor Amco, will begin work on Dunbar’s new second platform from next week (Tuesday, May 7).

Passengers in West Sussex and Hampshire are advised to plan ahead over the autumn half-term and the following three weekends, as Network Rail works to complete a multi-million pound upgrade of the lines between Barnham, Chichester and Havant.

Network Rail engineers have successfully completed a £25m, two-year-long upgrade at Edinburgh Waverley with the commissioning of a new crossover at the station.

Network Rail is reminding passengers to check before they travel this holiday weekend as engineers will be carrying out work to deliver more reliable infrastructure, improved facilities and better services.

The refurbished footbridge will officially be re-opened by local MP, Helen Whately at 12 noon on Friday 10 May

Network Rail has successfully delivered £5m of investment to renew track and points (rails which move to transfer trains from one line to another) on the West Coast Main Line through Rutherglen.

Network Rail is reminding passengers in the Leicestershire to plan ahead as a significant stage in the Midland Main Line Upgrade will begin later this month.
