Network Rail workers in York are helping to keep the railway running reliably during the coronavirus pandemic to allow vital freight and passenger services to continue.

Essential rail works will take place to replace track at Weeley and Bentley on the Clacton-on-Sea branch line during the Early May Bank Holiday weekend to improve reliability.

Network Rail has launched a new awareness-raising campaign to warn against trespassing on the railway during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Repairs will soon be complete on a section of the Cumbrian Coast line left badly damaged by three consecutive storms earlier this year.
