Network Rail teams will begin major work to the River Devon Viaduct in Newark next month in order to keep trains running reliably and safely for years to come.

Rail passengers on a major route through Cheshire are now benefiting from a £1.6m upgrade to Wilmslow station.

Shields Road on the southside of Glasgow will close to traffic from Monday next week (28 August) as part of a £12.6m bridge rebuild.  

A piece of railway history will be safeguarded by a Fife charity after an agreement was reached with Network Rail.

Major work to replace a Victorian drainage culvert beneath the railway in Aylesbury is now complete to improve future journeys for passengers and freight services.

Much of the rail network is open over the August bank holiday to allow passengers to enjoy the best tourist destinations across Anglia, but engineering work will be taking place which may affect some rail journeys.

Services between Swindon and Gloucester will be affected with no direct services between London Paddington and Cheltenham Spa.
