Today (Friday 8 March) safety teams from Network Rail have been at Birmingham International station reminding passengers heading to Crufts about the importance of crossing the railway safely with their four-legged friends.

A £3.5m programme to improve the resilience of the railway between Croy and Dullatur in extreme weather has been delivered successfully.

Passengers are being advised of urgent repair work on the railway viaduct over the River Derwent in Workington, Cumbria.

Passengers are being reminded to check before they travel between Carmarthen and Pembroke Dock later this month when Network Rail will be carrying out essential track renewals and drainage work.

Passengers using Uddingston station are being reminded the car park will be out of use for four days this month to allow the safe delivery of construction works.

The car park will be closed from 00:01 Thursday 21 March – 23:59 Sunday 24 March.

Harecraig’s level crossing, between Dundee and Broughty Ferry, will close for a week while Network Rail carries out vital work to improve the surface.
