£800,000 plans to improve Hayle station access unveiled
A joint scheme of around £811k aimed at improving the access to Hayle station was today unveiled by Network Rail, First Great Western, Cornwall Council and Sustrans.

Hillside slip to disrupt trains near Chesterfield
Rail passengers on some routes in the Sheffield and Chesterfield areas will have longer journeys and some services cancellations from tomorrow (Tuesday 18 February).
One of the two tracks through Unstone needs to close for safety reasons. The hillside above the railway became unstable in the recent extremely wet weather.

Sussex media update: Trains to begin running through Patcham tunnel and Oxted
After days of hard work by Network Rail engineers in difficult conditions, a limited train service will be able to run to Brighton through the flooded Patcham tunnel area tonight (Monday) with a full Brighton Main Line service resuming tomorrow.

Polystyrene platform steals the show at Peterborough
Timelapse video released today shows a modular polystyrene platform being installed as part of the Peterborough investment project by Network Rail.
To reduce disruption to passengers during construction the extension of platform 1 was cut from 20 weeks to just 20 days.
