Youngsters from a group of Leicestershire schools are being lined up to help create a new section of railway in the county thanks to a partnership between Network Rail and Great Central Railway.

Network Rail will be improving the level crossings at Llanelli station as part of work to provide a safer and more reliable railway for passengers and communities in Wales.

Manchester Airport station has reopened after work to install track and signalling as part of the new fourth platform was completed.
