A special train naming ceremony to mark the 50^th anniversary of the Cardiff Panel Signal Box took place at Cardiff Central station on Friday 1 April.

Train companies today agreed to carry one another’s customers as Network Rail worked to repair damaged overhead wires on the West Coast main line near Birmingham International station.

Passengers are being advised to check before they travel as overhead power line damage is causing delays to services between Birmingham and Coventry.

A severely damaged stretch of railway near Dover will need to be completely replaced with a new viaduct before trains can run again.

Manchester Victoria and Salford Central stations reopened to passengers today (Monday 4 April) after a 10-day closure over Easter as part of a £1bn+ railway upgrade.  

Network Rail is inviting Coseley residents to an information event to find out more about upcoming railway vegetation work.
