Passengers at Barnstaple will now enjoy an award-winning and brighter looking station after volunteers from Network Rail joined forces with the local Barnstaple in Bloom group to tidy up the disused platform at the north Devon station.

Network Rail’s Roskear signal box in Camborne, Cornwall, recently welcomed a special visitor – 16-year-old William Beynon from Hayle, who has recently celebrated being given the all-clear from cancer. 

New figures released by Network Rail show that a bridge in Slough, Berkshire, was the eighth most-struck bridge in the UK over the past year.

Due to RMT strike action at Network Rail’s Thames Valley Signalling Centre on Saturday 19 and Monday 21 November, Network Rail is notifying passengers on its Western route – which covers the railway and towns and communities between Penzance and London Paddington – to expect disruption and in the affected areas to check before you travel.

Passengers at Bristol Temple Meads have donated over £4,000 to TAP for Bristol, an initiative tackling homelessness in the city, by using an electronic donation point installed at the station.

Network Rail and the British Transport Police (BTP) are issuing a safety warning following a number of concerning incidents of young children deliberately misusing a level crossing near Topsham in Devon.
