Work is continuing apace at London Waterloo as Network Rail is delivering one of the largest and most complex upgrades in the history of Britain's busiest station.

One of the most significant and complex engineering projects at Waterloo Station in the last century began last night, as 10 of the station’s platforms were shut for three-and-a-half weeks to make room for the work.

Network Rail and South West Trains are today advising passengers in Surrey to expect waiting times of up to 60 minutes at some stations during the busiest parts of the day, while Network Rail carries out the largest upgrade scheme at Waterloo for decades this August.
