A new campaign encouraging people to take extra care in London’s railway stations has been launched today.

Network Rail is teaming up with the London Amateur Boxing Association to educate youngsters across the capital about railway safety.

Eight stations in south east London and Kent are to benefit from an £18.5m investment which will improve passengers’ access to trains and platforms.

Network Rail is to invest more than £2m to provide additional capacity on the line between Brighton and Lewes and lengthen platforms at Falmer station.

Work is start this month to provide passengers at Leighton Buzzard, Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead with step-free access between the station entrance and platforms, making the railway more accessible for everyone.
