Southeastern and Network Rail have today announced an action plan on how they plan for and respond to major incidents as an independent report is published into the Lewisham train disruption during heavy snow in March this year.

Network Rail are investing £23 million to rebuild parts of Feltham station providing longer platforms for new longer trains, new step free access for travellers and a new bridge for cyclists and pedestrians so they can safely cross the railway.

Network Rail are now using helicopters across the south western rail network as part of the drive to provide better journeys for passengers.
