Colleagues from across Network Rail have been working to keep passengers and vital supplies moving.

Railway stations across London turned blue last night and the first of a series of surprise well-known voices was heard on their concourses as part of the #MakeItBlue campaign, Saluting the efforts of hard-working NHS staff and essential workers across the country.

The biggest rail investment in nearly four decades for the Guildford area has passed the half-way point as Network Rail engineers worked throughout the Easter holiday period to deliver vital passenger improvements.

Easter Bank Holiday engineering work is taking place on lines around Hither Green in South East London, to improve rail services in the region, meaning trains will be diverted or replaced by buses for four days.

The railway between East Grinstead and Lingfield reopened to passenger trains this morning after nearly two months without services.

Network Rail remains on track to complete landslip repairs to reopen the East Grinstead railway line for key workers and passengers for whom travel is absolutely essential, on Monday 30 March, although the impact of the Coronavirus outbreak could still cause a delay.
