Passengers travelling through two of Scotland’s busiest railway stations are being encouraged to top up with Scottish tap water as part of a global campaign to prevent plastic pollution.

Network Rail and Balfour Beatty teamed up with North Queensferry Primary School to plant flowers and a tree by the Forth Bridge.

• Strikes will affect Network Rail operations and train services across Britain on 21, 23 and 25 June, causing significant disruption for customers.

Network Rail will shortly begin overnight tree and vegetation management on the line between Evanton and Invergordon in the Scottish Highlands.

The station will re-open after the completion of a 13-week programme of engineering works designed to create a better experience for passengers.

Network Rail Scotland has once again partnered with British Transport Police (BTP) to raise awareness around the dangers of level crossings ahead of International Level Crossing Awareness Day (ILCAD).

The void appeared on Saturday 4 June and the line has been closed to allow investigation work to be completed.
