Unsightly graffiti on the railway in Widnes has been tackled as part of wider community clean up in Cheshire.

Passengers and residents in Warrington are being informed about work to upgrade two railway bridges later this year.

Work to extend platforms at Ramsgreave & Wilpshire station in Blackburn is now complete meaning more space for trains and passengers.

Work to restore the world-renowned Ribblehead viaduct for rail passengers and tourists in North Yorkshire is now complete.

A giant crane lifted two new bridges into place at Warrington Bank Quay station this Easter to make future rail journeys more reliable for passengers and freight.
