Residents and passengers are being reminded of road and station closures and changes to train services while Network Rail replaces a railway bridge in Albrighton.

Network Rail is removing around 250 tonnes of fly-tipped waste which has been dumped on the railway in Telford.

Rail passengers travelling in and out of Manchester Victoria are being reminded some services will change in 2017 as work continues on the Ordsall Chord.

Two bridges in Chorley are to be closed overnight to pedestrian and vehicle traffic next month as Network Rail continues to build a better railway in Lancashire.

Passengers using Bolton station will see platform improvement work starting next week as part of plans to provide passengers with faster, electric train services from December 2017.

Residents in Lancashire and Greater Manchester are invited to drop-in events in March and April to find out more about work to be carried out to electrify the line between Preston and Manchester.
