UK rapper Wretch 32 and spoken word performer George the Poet have put their hearing to the test in a unique experiment as part of a new Network Rail safety campaign aimed at young men called Track Tests.

King’s Cross station is set to become an art gallery next week as part of a special exhibition showcasing stunning images from the Take-a-view Landscape Photographer of the Year competition, which is sponsored by Network Rail.

Work has started to provide passengers at Brentwood with step-free access between the station entrance and the platforms, making the railway more accessible for everyone.

Network Rail will shortly start rebuilding Finedon Station Road bridge as part of a £70m investment to speed up journey times on the Midland Main Line between London and Sheffield.

Cambridge station is set to benefit from a £4.25m improvement scheme after funds were released by Cambridge based developer Brookgate, the company behind the CB1 development, as part of a land purchase from Network Rail and a 'section 106' agreement with Network Rail and the City Council.

The rail industry is seeking 50 more graduates to join its unique 18-month paid work placement scheme, Track & Train. Graduates are employed for three, six-month placements: one at Network Rail and two at either a passenger or freight operator or another company within the rail sector to gain a broad range of experience.
