Rail passengers travelling between Kettering and Corby are being reminded that the next phase of work starts on Saturday to upgrade the railway between the two stations.

Four public events will take place as Network Rail begins consultation on the next phase of the Railway Upgrade Plan in Cambridgeshire.

Network Rail has thanked passengers for their patience after engineers successfully completed bank holiday weekend engineering projects on time.

The reconstruction of Wightman Road bridge in Haringey, which runs over an important railway line connecting Gospel Oak and Barking, is almost complete and the road will reopen on Monday, 5 September.
