Network Rail is reminding passengers travelling between Hull, Goole and Selby this Easter to check before they travel as work takes place to upgrade the signalling as part of the Great North Rail Project

Network Rail has successfully completed a major project of work to improve the drainage at Potters Bar station to reduce the risk of flooding to the subway.

Important engineering works to upgrade the Felixstowe branch are set to begin in April 2018, bringing a significant step change for the transportation of freight as well as improved reliability for passenger services. 

Network Rail will continue their work to upgrade the Midland Main Line in Northamptonshire with improvements taking place at five key railway structures in the county.

Network Rail is inviting residents in Bedford to find out more about improvements to the railway as part of the Midland Main Line Upgrade.

The Clacton on Sea branch line reopened for a full service this morning (Monday 19 March)following repairs after a landslip last week.

Rail passenger services have returned to the Felixstowe branch line today (Monday 19 March) ahead of schedule, following repairs at a level crossing where a car was hit by a freight train.

The Felixstowe branch line will remain closed to passenger services until early next week, following a collision between a car and freight train that also damaged the signalling equipment and level crossing.
