Festive train travellers were today urged to “keep a clear head” as a shocking video emerged of a seemingly drunk man falling off a Manchester station platform on to the tracks.

Edinburgh Waverley’s newly-extended platform 12 entered service last Sunday (December 10).

Network Rail today (Wednesday December 13) announced that Carillion Powerlines Ltd has won a further contract to deliver work on the electrification of the Shotts line between Holytown Junction and Midcalder Junction.
