With 200,000 football fans set to flock to Cardiff for the UEFA Champions League Finals and Festival from 1-4 June, and 60,000 train journeys expected to be made into Cardiff on Saturday 3 June alone, passengers travelling by rail are urged to plan ahead.

Network Rail, Virgin Trains and Transpennine Express are urging passengers to allow extra time for journeys on Monday May 29 following problems with overhead line equipment.

There will be a contraflow in place on the A8 near the showcase cinema for 20 weeks from Monday 5^th June while the refurbishment of the bridge takes place.
