Transport partners unveiled plans today to keep Liverpool open for business while its main railway station undergoes a three-week transformation this autumn.

Network Rail will shortly begin work to repair and strengthen the two railway bridges over Ayr Road, Mauchline as part of Network Rail’s UK wide railway upgrade plan.

Residents living in Wiltshire and South Gloucestershire are invited to find out more about a crucial upgrade of the Great Western mainline.

Electrification on the Great Western mainline has moved a step closer after Network Rail successfully upgraded the railway in Swindon and Royal Wootton Bassett over the weekend as part of their Railway Upgrade Plan.

As work continues to provide a better railway between Manchester and Preston, Bolton passengers are being warned of changes to train services in August.

Residents in Preston are invited to a drop-in event next week to find out more about work to electrify the line between Preston and Blackpool.

A level crossing in Tottenham will be closed next month and replaced with an accessible footbridge as part of works to significantly upgrade the railway network in the area. Residents can find out more about the plans at information events starting next week (19 June).

Railway bridges have joined many other buildings and structures to become works of art in Brockley, south east London, thanks to a partnership between the organisers of a street art festival and Network Rail.
