An overgrown railway siding at Eastbourne has been brought back into use by recycling track removed during the successful Three Bridges to Brighton blockade in February.

Network Rail South East has today unveiled its 50th railway bridge mural – this time of Shakespearean legend Richard Burbage on the 400^th anniversary of the thespian’s death.

Network Rail engineers have successfully reached a major milestone in the reconstruction of two road bridges in Northamptonshire, as part of the Midland Main Line Upgrade. 

• Railway open for ‘business as usual’ over the Late May bank holiday weekend (Saturday 25 – Monday 27 May) as majority of the network is unaffected
• A 22,000 strong workforce will work around the clock over both May bank holiday weekends

A new customer seating area has been created at Euston after the entrance to the London Underground was moved this weekend as part of ongoing improvements for passengers.

Network Rail has announced that today, Monday 13 May, Aidan Hancock joined the company as group chief information officer (CIO).

Network Rail is advising level crossing users in Leicestershire and Rutland that there will be six days of changes to level crossings as major work to the railway as part of the Midland Main Line Upgrade takes place in Market Harborough.
