Network Rail and ilke Homes have announced a significant investment which will see 40 modular homes built on a brownfield site next to Beeston railway station.

Network Rail will carry out vital track replacement work at Clapton on the rail line between Liverpool Street and Tottenham Hale and Chingford at weekends throughout July, starting this weekend (11 July).

Historic railway bridges have been transformed into stunning pieces of art thanks to Network Rail’s unique partnership with community groups, schools, and artists.

Vital work to remove and reconstruct a footbridge at Eridge station in East Sussex took place over the weekend. The work was needed due to the age and condition of the old structure, in order to protect the safety of those using the bridge and the trains operating below.

Road users and residents near St Helens are being informed about a major railway bridge upgrade this summer.

The Sidcup, Grove Park and Bromley North lines through Hither Green will be closed for nine days from Saturday 25 July to Sunday 2 August 2020, while Network Rail completes critical signalling upgrades to improve reliability for passengers in South East London.

The toilets at Reading station have reopened to the public today (6 July), following a £380,000 major refurbishment of the facilities, during the recent lockdown.

Network Rail engineers will be delivering vital upgrade works on the line between Kilmarnock and Dumfries from Saturday, July 4, to Sunday, July 12.
