Glasgow Central is working with train stations across the country to launch a new pilot project to host pop-up food bank collection points for the Trussell Trust.

• Network Rail carrying out £105m worth of investment to upgrade the railway and improve future passenger journeys over August Bank Holiday
• Those who are travelling by rail should wear a face covering unless they are exempt. Passengers should also travel at quieter times and maintain a distance from other passengers wherever possible

• A range of measures – including enhanced cleaning regimes at stations – introduced to help keep passengers safe from the virus while travelling by rail
• Network Rail has been deploying almost two and a half times the number of station staff than before the pandemic, and more than twice as many additional staff to help customers compared with the 2012 London Olympics

Passengers at London Paddington are now benefitting from quicker and safer travel through the station after Network Rail opened a new entrance/ exit this week as part of their commitment to keep passengers travelling safely.  

The top ten most bashed and at-risk railway bridges across Anglia and East London will be fitted with a new CCTV system to reduce delays and cancellations to rail services as part of a £190k investment programme.
