As a result of industrial action this Saturday (8 October) Network Rail is reminding passengers in West London, Thames Valley, the West of England and across the South West, to only travel by train if absolutely necessary.

• Following co-ordinated strike action by the RMT, Aslef and TSSA last weekend, and another Aslef walkout yesterday, there will be more disruption for passengers this Saturday owing to further RMT strike action
• Timetable has now been published, showing that around 20% of the usual number of services will run

Lincoln’s latest cohort of students have been taught a lesson in rail safety, after worrying CCTV footage shows a man stumble across a level crossing.

Rail services between King's Lynn, Cambridge and London King's Cross will return to their usual schedules from tomorrow, Wednesday 5 October, following completion of work to repair track defects caused by the recent heatwave.

Network Rail welcomed Central Scotland MSP, Graham Simpson, to the site of a new bridge that will be installed under the West Coast Main Line at Motherwell to hear first-hand about progress on the work to date.
