• Trains will start later and finish much earlier than usual on these dates, between 7.30am and 6.30pm. Those who must travel should expect disruption, plan ahead and check when their last train will depart

Network Rail has awarded BAM Nuttall the contract to design a series of resilience measures along the iconic coastal railway between Dawlish and Holcombe, south Devon.

Passengers on the Hope Valley line between Manchester and Sheffield should check before travelling on two Sundays in November, as multi-million-pound upgrades to the line continue.

Due to further coordinated strike action by the RMT, TSSA and Unite trades unions on Saturday 5, Monday 7 and Wednesday 9 November, Network Rail is asking passengers to only travel if absolutely necessary, expect widespread disruption and to plan ahead.
