Over 100 towns and cities on Britain’s existing railway lines could benefit from quicker, more frequent journeys and better connections when HS2 phase two is complete, according to a new report published today by Network Rail.

Members of the public are invited to attend an information event about road diversions required to rebuild two rail bridges in order to increase journey times between London and Sheffield.

Passengers using Manchester’s Victoria station are only one year away from enjoying a newly revitalised, lighter and brighter station as part of a £44m investment programme being delivered by Network Rail.

Network Rail refreshed the data available on its transparency portal today.
