A level crossing in Tottenham will be closed next month and replaced with an accessible footbridge as part of works to significantly upgrade the railway network in the area. Residents can find out more about the plans at information events starting next week (19 June).

Railway bridges have joined many other buildings and structures to become works of art in Brockley, south east London, thanks to a partnership between the organisers of a street art festival and Network Rail.

Network Rail is advising passengers travelling between Lincoln and Sheffield to check before they travel as engineering work begins this weekend.

Fans of the famous Flying Scotsman steam locomotive are being urged to keep off the tracks and enjoy a safe day out when the engine tours parts of Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire on the Chiltern main line this week.

Following the incident on London Bridge on Saturday 3 June, on advice from the Metropolitan police, London Bridge national rail station has reopened on Monday 5 June from 5am for entry and exit.
