Located between Eden Park and Hayes, vital work to repair and strengthen the steel footbridge at West Wickham station has taken place which will serve the local community for decades.

Network Rail, Scottish Government and City of Edinburgh Council have today revealed their concept designs for transforming the capital’s main station as part of the Edinburgh Waverley Masterplan.

Sections of the A45 in Wellingborough will be closed for several days and nights this month, whilst Network Rail carries out the final stages of work to upgrade Higham Road bridge.

Vital track replacement work at Clapton that will increase reliability for passengers, has been completed at the weekend.

Passenger and freight journeys are being made more reliable in Lancashire and Cumbria with a multi-million-pound investment into the overhead 25,000 volt electric cables which power trains.

Following two years of work and a nine-day closure of routes across South East London, new, more reliable signalling on the Sidcup, Grove Park and Bromley North lines through Hither Green has come into use.
