Network Rail is reminding passengers to check before they travel this holiday weekend as engineers will be carrying out upgrades works.

Network Rail has temporarily closed Chestnut Grove footpath level crossing in Burton Joyce, following repeated misuse incidents.

• The upgrades in south London will improve reliability on the network while major work to improve accessibility at Gatwick Airport station will make journeys easier for all passengers and support people with reduced mobility.
• People should continue to follow Government guidance around the use of public transport and minimise the number of journeys they make where possible

Network Rail is reminding passengers and road users of essential safety improvement work taking place at Oldends Lane level crossing in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire over the Early May Bank Holiday weekend.

• Railway improvements on key routes in Cumbria, Greater Manchester and West Coast main line mean changes to early May bank holiday journeys
• Passengers are advised to travel either side of the bank holiday on Friday 30 April and Tuesday 4 May
• Further afield, London Euston railway station will be closed this weekend between 1-3 May - trains will start and finish at Milton Keynes
• People should follow Government guidance and minimise the number of journeys they make where possible
