A new report, commissioned by Scotland's Railway and undertaken by Sustrans has revealed more 26 million active travel journeys were taken to stations last year.

Network Rail opened a new temporary footbridge at Bridlington station on Monday (6 February) afternoon to keep passengers connected while major work takes place to improve access.

The agreement is the first of its kind between the organisations and is a major step forward in the delivery of new homes, workspace and neighbourhoods for London’s communities. The two organisations are aiming to use their estates to deliver more than 20,000 new homes over the next decade.

Commuters between Portishead and Bristol are a step closer to benefitting from a new rail link as the project to restore the disused railway through North Somerset reaches a new milestone.

Member of Parliament Derek Thomas met with representatives from Network Rail and Great Western Railway (GWR) on Thursday 2 February at Long Rock Depot in Cornwall, where the rail companies are working with Cornwall Council on a multi-million-pound rail and travel scheme near Penzance.

Network Rail has unveiled the final design for the redevelopment of Troon Station to the local community at an event in the town.

Passenger services have today (Friday February 3) started operating at Scotland’s newest station following completion of  work on the new rail interchange for Inverness Airport.

Passengers intending to travel with Great Northern and Thameslink on the route between London and Peterborough over the weekend of 18 and 19 February are being asked to plan ahead.
