Thousands of new homes and jobs will be created through the regeneration of Bristol Temple Quarter, thanks to £95m in government funding, Levelling Up Minister Neil O’Brien MP announced today (Friday 10 June 2022).  

Network Rail is reminding the Dawlish community that Colonnade underpass is due to temporarily close during the week beginning Monday 13 June to allow engineers to carry out vital work on the construction of the second section of the sea wall, which is being built to protect the south Devon town and coastal railway from storms and rising sea levels.

Passengers and local residents in Lostwithiel are set to benefit from quicker and easier access across the railway and to the station, thanks to £1.845m of funding to build a new footbridge over Grenville Road level crossing, adjacent to the station.

This World Environment Day (Sunday 5 June), Frome’s passengers will enjoy a cleaner, brighter station environment thanks to volunteers from Network Rail, Frome Station Friends, and The Bee Friendly Trust, who’ve worked together to build sustainable habitats for urban wildlife by installing bee-friendly planters on the disused platform, matching a pair already installed at the station.

Network Rail is thanking the community of Torbay, Devon, for their patience and understanding following the delayed reopening of the road over Torbay Road bridge this morning (Monday 23 May).

Network Rail has reopened Cot Hill bridge in Plympton, Devon, today (Friday 20 May) following essential maintenance and repair work.

Last night (Thursday 19 May) a team from Network Rail won the BI (Business Intelligence) Solution of the Year category at the British Data Awards, beating tough competition from Hitachi Solutions, No7 Beauty Company (Walgreens Boots Alliance), ThoughtSpot and Transforming Systems.

Buses will replace trains from Monday 18 July - Saturday 3 September while major work to upgrade the line is delivered.
