Volunteers from Network Rail joined the Severnside Community Rail Partnership and local residents to help clean graffiti from community murals at Redland and Montpelier stations in Bristol earlier this month.

Tomorrow morning (Wednesday 22 February) services between Oxford and Worcester will resume following the reopening of the line between Oxford and Kingham, after Network Rail successfully repaired a wall collapse and landslip that occurred on Friday 10 February at Yarnton near Oxford.

Rail passengers in West Cornwall are set to enjoy a more accessible St Ives branch line following confirmation of a step-free footbridge to be built at St Erth station.

Following a wall collapse and landslip at Yarnton near Oxford on Friday evening, part of the railway line between Oxford and Worcester is closed while Network Rail undertakes emergency repairs to the bridge and surrounding land.

Commuters between Portishead and Bristol are a step closer to benefitting from a new rail link as the project to restore the disused railway through North Somerset reaches a new milestone.

Member of Parliament Derek Thomas met with representatives from Network Rail and Great Western Railway (GWR) on Thursday 2 February at Long Rock Depot in Cornwall, where the rail companies are working with Cornwall Council on a multi-million-pound rail and travel scheme near Penzance.

Network Rail is supporting this year’s edition of the Bristol Light Festival, held from Friday 3 February until Sunday 12 February, by lighting up the iconic Bristol Temple Meads station in dazzling blue and pink.
