Passengers and residents in Llandrindod Wells, Powys, will soon benefit from a safer, more reliable level crossing as Network Rail confirms it will fully renew the crossing’s equipment.

Lodge Road Bridge in Caerleon is being refurbished as part of the Network Rail’s Railway Upgrade Plan to provide a bigger, better, more reliable railway for passengers and businesses.

Passengers have been thanked for their patience following the completion of railway upgrade work between Newport and Shrewsbury.

A milestone in the work to upgrade a Newport city centre bridge in preparation for the new fleet of electric trains was completed last weekend as part of Network Rail’s Railway Upgrade Plan to deliver a bigger, better railway for passengers.

Pupils from St Nicolas Junior School visited the site of the under-construction Boundary Road bridge in Newbury this week (12 July) to see how their artwork was brightening up a temporary footbridge for pedestrians and cyclists and getting across an important safety message to their peers.

Assembly Members have pledged their support for Network Rail’s flagship level crossing safety campaign at a special event held at the National Assembly for Wales yesterday (Tuesday, 12 July).

Network Rail’s ongoing project to electrify the Great Western Main Line is now taking shape in Bristol, with great progress being made on a number of sites in and around the city.
