Bridge Street Road Bridge, an iconic bridge connecting Newport to its city centre has reopened to motorists today (from 12noon Thursday 1 December) following essential upgrade work.  

A new platform at Cardiff Central station designed to help ease congestion will be unveiled in the New Year-all part of Network Rail’s Railway Upgrade Plan.

Cardiff residents have been invited to a series of drop-in events to learn more about temporary level crossing closures planned over the festive season as work to deliver Network Rail’s Railway Upgrade Plan continues.

Network Rail is advising passengers to plan their journeys as early as possible this Christmas. This is ahead of another huge programme of upgrade work with up to 200 projects being delivered across Britain over this holiday period.
