Two ambassa-dogs from London's Battersea Dogs Home joined staff at Waterloo this morning (22 August, 2017) in warning passengers of upcoming disruption to their journeys from 24-28 August, as three weeks of upgrade work at London's busiest station reach their climax this weekend.

Network Rail and Southeastern are advising passengers that between Tuesday 29 August and Friday 1 September there will be queuing systems in place at Cannon Street station during the busiest times, as Network Rail continues to rebuild London Bridge and the surrounding railway, as part of the Thameslink Programme.

Network Rail’s helicopter and crew spend most of their time flying over the country’s 20,000 miles of railway, looking for potential faults with track and electrical equipment or alerting local team to trees brought down in high winds.
