Network Rail is advising passengers to the south and west of London to plan their journeys as early as possible this Christmas. This is ahead of a programme of upgrade work taking place on the country’s rail network over the Christmas period.

Representatives from the Western Front Association, Network Rail, Southern, The Association of Jewish Ex-Servicemen and Women, The Sea Cadets Corps and many other organisations gathered at London Victoria station last night (Thursday, November 10) to pay tribute to the Unknown Warrior.

From Monday, 28 November, motorists in Oulton Broad North will wait for shorter periods of time at the level crossing on Bridge Road, when work is completed to move a critical signal on the railway.

Work is well under way to create a new footbridge at Trinity Lane level crossing, Waltham Cross, to provide a safer way of crossing the railway as part of Network Rail’s Railway Upgrade Plan.
