Network Rail successfully completes £8 million upgrade in Southampton
South Western Railway passengers are able to travel through Southampton again after Network Rail successfully completed £8 million of track renewal work on schedule over the Christmas period.

- Work to complete the new platform at Redhill station from Saturday, 23 December to Monday, 1 January 2018.
- On 2 January the final section of London Bridge’s huge, modern concourse will open
- Platforms 1 – 5 will be complete, allowing Cannon Street services to once again call at London Bridge
