Network Rail at London’s Waterloo station has been granted the Autism Friendly Award by the National Autistic Society, the UK’s leading charity for autistic people. The station is the first Network Rail managed station to receive this award.

ONE MONTH TO GO: Vital track replacement work in Thornford, Dorset, will mean that the Heart of Wessex Line between Castle Cary and Weymouth will be closed with buses replacing trains from Monday 23 September to Sunday 29 September.

Passengers in the Crystal Palace area are being asked to plan ahead if travelling from Saturday 24 August to Sunday 1 September, as Network Rail carry out a major track upgrade.

• One train every 30 minutes will operate between Ryde Esplanade and Shanklin from Monday 7 October to early May 2025
• Rail replacement bus services will operate during both closures

Passenger trains are running again over Barnes Bridge, following a six-day closure of the Hounslow Loop line between Kew Bridge and Barnes.

Passengers and visitors to London Waterloo station are now able to enjoy tinkling the ivories or simply listening to others play, following the installation of a new piano in the station’s former Eurostar terminal, now aptly named Orchestra Pit.
