REMINDER: Rail upgrades planned over Christmas and into 2017 to deliver a bigger and more reliable railway for passengers in London, Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire
Passengers travelling on the railway between Norwich and London and across to Cambridge are being asked to check before they travel, particularly at weekends as complex improvement works continue over Christmas and into 2017. This work will deliver vital railway upgrades for the Crossrail programme and remove long-standing heat related speed restrictions.

Local war survivor honoured in naming of new Surrey footbridge by Network Rail
A new footbridge opened by Network Rail at Gomshall station in Surrey has been officially named ‘Rosa’s Bridge’ in honour of Rosa Sigal, a local landowner who left Germany in the 1930s after she lost her job because she was Jewish, and eventually settled in England.
